01Does it work on iOS 26, and do I need to jailbreak?
Yes, verified on 26.5.1. And no, nothing goes on the phone at all.
Elsewhere uses the developer connection Apple has shipped on every iPhone since iOS 15, which is why new iOS versions barely touch us. You turn on Developer Mode, plug into your Mac once and tap Trust. No profile, no certificate that expires in a week, nothing sideloaded. Quit the app and the phone is stock again in seconds.
02Does it change the location for every app at once?
That is the whole idea. One pin, and the phone agrees with it.
A switch built into a single app moves only that app, while the system, the weather and the maps carry on telling the truth around it, and that disagreement is far more noticeable than any coordinate. Elsewhere sets the position where iOS itself keeps it, so there is nothing left to contradict.
03Will the app notice?
Some can. What gives people away is the movement, and that is the part we build.
Nothing can prove you are not standing somewhere, so a plausible coordinate is safe on its own. What gets flagged is a straight line through buildings, a metronome-perfect fix rhythm, one constant speed, and a jump across a continent inside a minute. Elsewhere gets the first four right. 04Do I have to stay plugged in?

06Is changing your location legal?
Setting the location on a phone you own is lawful. What you do with it is governed by the terms of the services you use.
Elsewhere is for testing location-aware software you are building, protecting your address on apps that broadcast it, and games and services whose terms permit it. It is not for defrauding anyone, for defeating a court-ordered monitor, or for tracking or deceiving another person. Those uses are refused in our acceptable-use policy, and we would rather lose the sale.
