Before your first move

Open the app and connect your iPhone with a cable. Tap Trust on the phone if it asks.
Turn on Developer Mode on the iPhone: Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Developer Mode. The phone restarts once. Elsewhere walks you through this and will not let you get it wrong.
Unplug. From then on your Mac reaches the phone over your own Wi-Fi, as long as both are on the same network.

The whole thing takes about forty seconds and happens once.

Requirements

macOS 14 Sonoma or later, Apple silicon or Intel.
An iPhone running iOS 15 or later. Verified on iOS 26.5.1.
A USB cable, for the first pairing only.

Updates

Elsewhere updates itself. New versions are signed and checked against a key built into the app, so an update can only come from us.
